High Security EMP Protected Property
Site 4 is an ex military installation. Commissioned in the early 1990’s, it has the highest levels of EMP protection, capable of withstanding G5 solar events and Nuclear EMP. It has a flood-lit double perimeter fence with a guardhouse and generous office space. With a protected area of 700m2/8000ft2, a high power grid connection and plenty of space for renewable power and batteries, this site would be very well suited to becoming a high security data centre.

The site was built to military specifications. The main building, made of concrete with no windows, is fully encased in high-grade steel and equipped with comprehensive EMP shielding systems further protected by copper lock and hinge-lined doors. The mains power supply has filters and systems in place to protect it from grid surges. The generators were previously sited within the EMP protected area, this could be reinstated.

The site has a high power grid connection. It previously had diesel generator back-up which could be reinstated or a duel system with battery back-up may be better suited. There is plenty space for solar and wind to be installed on site. Further details can be provided upon request. It is possible to make renewable systems resistant to EMP exposure.
There is a fibre connection onsite which could also be upgraded if required. It may be prudent to have Starlink or satellite backups onsite too.
The site has a main water supply, large water tanks and is connected for waste water disposal.

As a former military installation, it was built within a double perimeter fence (topped with strand barbed wire and concertina barbed wire) with flood lighting all round. A guard station (160m2/1700ft2) with dog kennel positioned between the 2 fences provides the only entry point. The guard station, with military spec munitions storage, could be converted in to a dwelling for resident security staff or to have accommodation available when required. Alternatively, it could converted in to office space.

There is parking available for around 25 cars which could be expanded to any number required. Connected to the main secured building is a building of around 280m2/3000ft2. This could house staff onsite or be used as office space or it could also be protected to a high EMP standard to give additional protected space. Permission is likely to be granted for extensions on any of the buildings and upgrading the grid connection would allow for greater data centre capacity if desired.
An additional 4 acres of adjacent land is available by separate negotiation. A smaller site is available separately, it has around 300m2/3250ft2 of EMP secured capacity and is around 10km from this site.
